Deb Cornelius, Carolyn Zielinski, Maria Nakhla, Korrin Traska
St. Mark's Preschool Staff works as a team, sharing ideas, responsibilities, joys, challenges and friendship. That's what makes St. Mark's Lutheran Preschool such an excellent Early Childhood Center for your child.
Carolyn Zielinski - Director of St. Mark's and Lead Teacher - Mrs. Zielinski has a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University. She has taught and directed Lutheran early childhood programs for 30 years. Since 1997 Carolyn has served as St. Mark's Preschool Director and Lead Teacher of one session of the 3 year-olds and one session of 4 year-olds. "My greatest joy is teaching young children about the love of Jesus and the world around them. Working at St. Mark's gives me that opportunity."
Korrin Traska - Lead Teacher - Mrs. Traska joined St. Mark's staff as lead teacher of the 3 year-old classes in 2006. She earned her Bachelors degree in Education from Central Michigan University. Korrin is also the site coordinator for the 21st Century Program at Grant Elementary. She exhibits a love of children and an excitement for helping them learn.
Deb Cornelius - Assistant Teacher - Mrs. Cornelius has been an assistant teacher at St. Mark's since 1990. She has completed her Early Childhood Certification through North Central Technical College. Deb's sincere enjoyment of the children, her organizational skills and special insight in working with parents makes her a great asset to St. Mark's.
Maria Nakhla - Assistant Teacher - Mrs. Nakhla was previously on staff at St. Mark's for five years and now has returned for her fourth year as the assistant teacher in the 3 year-old classes. Maria has her elementary education degree from William Patterson College in New Jersey. She encourages and shows kindness to each child and efficiently assists the teacher in managing the classroom.
