FISH
BOIL THANKS
We
sincerely thank everyone who gave so freely of their time and talents
to make our annual Orphan Grain Train Fish Boil such a wonderful
success. We especially thank all those who worked at the meal, St.
Mark’s for the use of the building, those who donated supplies and
the delicious cakes, those who gave a monetary gift, and to everyone
who attended! We served 500+ people and over $4,100 was raised to
help offset shipping costs for this humanitarian mission.

THANK

“I
would like to thank all those who remembered my family in their
prayers and with cards and well wishes after the recent death of my

Your

WISCONSIN
VALLEY LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL
DON'T
FORGET YOUR LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL!! As Lutheran High Schools are
closing their doors this year, Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School
continues to grow. BUT, THE SUMMER LOOMS LIKE A HUNGRY LION! The
summer months have been financially challenging for The Valley
because we are not collecting tuition and yet we still have expenses.
We NEED your prayers and we are asking that you consider making a
gift to The Valley to help us meet our expenses through the summer
months. Thank you and from all of us at The Valley-Have a Blessed
Summer!
We,
the Wisconsin Valley Lutheran Senior Class of 2010, having grown in
faith and knowledge, proudly invite you to our Commencement
Exercises. Join us Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2010 at 2:00, in the
WVLHS Gymnasium. "There
are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are
different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different
kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men."
1 Corinthians 12:4-6.
Wisconsin
Valley Lutheran High School is now accepting registration
applications for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year and application
packets are available through the school office. Tuition assistance
is available. If you have any questions about WVLHS or would like a
'10-'11 application packet, please call Mr. Beringer or Mrs. Wehrs in
the school office at 715-693-2693.
Please
keep the WVLHS mission team in your prayers as they travel to Ghana,
West Africa this June. The team will spend 18 days sharing the love
of Christ with students and teachers at an elementary school in
Ghana. Please pray for safe travels and good health for the team.
Also that each
member of the team uses the gifts God has blessed them with to be a
blessing to the people of Ghana.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED
Many
volunteers are needed to make this year’s Vacation Bible School
another successful week of Bible fun for those attending. We already
have a number of volunteers signed up – but more staff is needed,
especially preschool station leaders and crew leaders for all ages.
A nursery will be available for the volunteer’s children not old
enough to attend VBS and will be staffed by an adult volunteer.
Please consider helping out – you will have as much fun as the
kids! You can sign-up online at stmarkslcms.org, on the sheet by the
display in the narthex or contact the church office.
VBS
STAFF MEETING
There
will be a Vacation Bible School staff meeting on Tuesday, June 8th
at 6:30 p.m. in classroom 1. It is not necessary for the youth who
are assisting to attend (unless you are in a leadership roll).
VBS
DECORATING
This
year’s theme is centered around High Sea’s Adventure. It would
be greatly appreciated if anyone would like to donate things like
anchors, nets, sails, shells etc. for decorating. Your items will be
returned to you.
Many

is a list of the needed items. If you would like to donate any of
